J. Michael King, MD is highly respected in treating ear, nose, throat, and vocal cord disorders and specializes in minimally invasive procedures for the head, neck, larynx and sinuses. Dr. King is able to perform cutting edge procedures such as endoscopic micro laryngeal removal to address the common causes of hoarseness such as polyps, cysts, vocal fold nodules, and laryngeal malignancies. His expertise furthermore encompasses the treatment of respiratory papillomas, chronic coughs, vocal cord paralysis, swallowing disorders, spasmodic dysphonia, and laryngeal reflux disease. In addition to flexible endoscopic procedures, Dr. King also specializes in endoscopic laser procedures in order to treat and remove lesions in the upper airway, trachea, and windpipe.
Dr. J. Michael King is a board certified Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck surgeon, and fellowship-trained Laryngologist. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, after which he pursued his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Following graduation, Dr. King completed his residency and Fellowship at the University of Texas in San Antonio. He served as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology for one year before moving to his home state of Colorado in 2009. After two years of working at a private practice in Boulder and Louisville, Dr. King founded Peak ENT in 2011.
Dr. J.. Michael King is well experienced and places emphasis on providing minimally invasive care under local anesthesia in the comfort and convenience of an office environment. He is able to perform procedures using today’s most prevalent medical equipment, such as flexible endoscopes and videostroboscopy recording equipment. Generally this allows Dr. King to diagnose and address disorders and malignancies in his office. Noninvasive treatment options include laser procedures, laryngeal Botox injections, non-sedated esophagoscopy, and injections to treat vocal cord paralysis. Currently, Dr. King is one of a small handful of providers in the Mountain Region able to perform a balloon sinuplasty in the office.
He enjoys Colorado culture and pursuing outdoor activities such as bike riding, backpacking and hiking. Dr. King is a native Coloradan and now lives in Superior with his wife and two children.
Board Certified in Otolaryngology as a Head and Neck specialist with Fellowship training, he is a needed addition to the Denver-Boulder and Rocky Mountain region.
